Andrea Felici
Andrea Felici is a producer from the Marche region with direct links to Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, in the area between Apiro and Cupramontana. Here, the hilly landscape lies between the influence of the Adriatic and the silhouette of the Apennines, with vineyards situated at altitude at the foot of Monte San Vicino and a natural alternation between sunny days and cooler nights. This environment favours gradual ripening and a clear expression of the grape variety, characterised by freshness, savouriness and mineral tension.
The company’s identity stems from a long tradition of family farming and a vision centred on the vineyard, regarded as the place where the wine’s most authentic expression is forged. Organic farming practices, the careful, manual harvesting into small crates and the prompt processing of the grapes reflect an approach that prioritises the quality of the raw material, without forcing the process, and with the aim of respecting the natural balance of the vines.
In the winery, a minimalist approach prevails, aimed at not masking the character of the Verdicchio and the terroir. The use of stainless steel and concrete tanks, work on the lees and, where appropriate, contact with the skins all contribute to white wines of structure, precision and depth, capable of combining acidic vigour, a briny character and body. Andrea Felici’s style is characterised by territorial consistency and an interpretation of Verdicchio that emphasises finesse, verticality and the potential for development.
