Bindella
Bindella is a Tuscan winery based in Montepulciano, in the historic Vino Nobile di Montepulciano region. Its identity centres on Tenuta Vallocaia, a hill in the Montepulciano area that has been associated with viticulture since 1983 and is set amidst a landscape of rolling ridges, woods, olive groves and cultivated fields. The main focus is on Sangiovese, produced from plots located in various areas of the appellation, including Vallocaia, Camparone, Casalte and Santa Maria, which are now part of the Pievi territorial system. The diversity of soils and microclimates is a key factor: sandy soils and looser textures favour finesse and elegance, whilst clay, limestone and loam-clay components contribute to structure, depth and expressive complexity.
The agricultural approach aims to respect the natural balance of the vineyards, through grass cover, widespread biodiversity and the avoidance of forced growth practices, in order to produce healthy, ripe grapes that reflect their terroir. In the winery, the local tradition of Montepulciano is reinterpreted in a contemporary key, with manual harvests differentiated by vineyard, separate vinification and careful processing, aimed at avoiding unnecessary manipulation. The result is a terroir-driven style – measured and distinctive – in which Vino Nobile di Montepulciano expresses classicism, precision and a modern interpretation of the Tuscan wine-growing landscape.
