Emiliano Falsini
The Emiliano Falsini Winery finds one of its most distinctive expressions in Sicily, on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, in the Randazzo area. Here, the focus is on the Contrada Feudo Pignatone, a volcanic area where the Nerello Mascalese grape variety serves as the primary means of conveying the altitude, aspect, soil and climatic conditions of Mediterranean mountain viticulture. The project’s identity stems from the concept of artisanal wines rooted in their provenance, crafted with measured interventions and a constant focus on respect for the environment and the terroir.
In the context of Mount Etna, the power of the landscape is not interpreted in muscular terms, but through subtlety, transparency and expressive precision. The northern slope of the volcano offers natural conditions capable of imparting tension, depth and a defined aromatic profile to the wines, whilst maintaining a recognisable terroir character. The raw material is celebrated as the source of the wine’s character: vineyard management and winemaking choices aim to preserve the link between the grapes, the vineyard plot and the vintage, avoiding stylistic over-elaboration.
The result is an essential and contemporary interpretation of Etna, in which the artisanal aspect is not merely a method, but a criterion of consistency. The Sicilian wines produced by Società Agricola Emiliano Falsini stand out for their connection to the terroir, for the balance between volcanic energy and delicacy, and for an expressive approach centred on the natural character of the Nerello Mascalese grape.
