Gini
Gini is a Veneto-based producer with deep ties to Monteforte d’Alpone, in the heart of the Soave Classico region, where viticulture has its roots in a tradition documented as far back as the 16th century. Its identity stems from the historic hills of the appellation, a landscape shaped by the Garganega grape and soils comprising a mix of volcanic, tuff and limestone components, which lend the wines structure, aromatic finesse and a distinctive mineral character.
The approach to viticulture is focused on certified organic cultivation and careful management of the raw material, with practices that enhance the vitality of the vineyards and the balanced ripening of the grapes. The old vines, in particular, are a key element in expressing the terroir: deep roots, naturally low yields and a long-standing connection with the slopes of Monteforte contribute to wines characterised by precision, consistency and depth.
The winemaking style prioritises clarity, balance and a connection to the terroir. The Garganega-based whites reveal floral and fruity aromas, a savoury profile and a finish often characterised by notes of almond and a dry minerality. Within the Veneto context, Gini interprets Soave Classico as a wine of terroir rather than mere technique, maintaining a balance between agronomic tradition, contemporary sensibility and a coherent understanding of the territory’s various nuances.
