Producers/ La Sibilla
La Sibilla
La Sibilla is a Campania-based producer based in Bacoli, in the heart of the Campi Flegrei, a wine-growing area characterised by its proximity to the sea, its volcanic soils and a landscape where vineyards, villages and archaeological heritage coexist naturally. The estate’s identity stems from the continuity of farming on these hills and the decision to cultivate ungrafted vines – a particularly significant factor in a sandy, volcanic territory that has preserved historic viticultural practices and plant material of great local value. Production focuses on showcasing the Phlegraean grape varieties, particularly Falanghina and Piedirosso, as defined by the Campi Flegrei DOC designation and through specific plots capable of revealing different nuances of the same terroir. The vineyards are situated between the Baia hill and the Parco Monumentale, on soils that favour wines with a savoury, mineral and Mediterranean profile. The winemaking approach centres on the raw material and the connection with the terroir: the winery works to preserve freshness, precision and distinctiveness, with a sensitivity that combines respect for local tradition with technical innovation. The result is wines that are true to the Phlegraean landscape, characterised by a briny energy, aromatic finesse and a clear expression of the native grape varieties, capable of telling the story of a coastal, volcanic Campania with a deeply distinctive identity.
