Le Fraghe
Le Fraghe is a winery based in Cavaion Veronese, in the Veneto region around Lake Garda, rooted in the heart of the Bardolino classic zone. Its identity stems from its relationship with a morainic landscape, shaped by Lake Garda, Monte Baldo and the Valdadige, where the hills, airy exposures and mosaic of microclimates foster wines of natural freshness and a fragrant profile. The first harvest dates back to 1984, and from the very beginning the winery has focused on the region’s native grape varieties, in particular Corvina and Rondinella for the red and rosé expressions of Bardolino, alongside Garganega for white wines with a Venetian character.
The vineyard is certified organic, and its approach centres on listening to the vineyard, protecting the environment and managing the raw material with precision. In the winery, the approach favours clean and respectful winemaking techniques: the grapes may be vinified separately to bring out their different characteristics, with ageing processes designed to preserve aromatic integrity, balance and drinkability. Le Fraghe’s style is characterised by restraint, finesse and a clear expression of the terroir: wines with crisp fruit, a light, agile structure and well-integrated freshness, capable of conveying the bright, spicy character of the Bardolino hills without being heavy-handed. The result is a contemporary and coherent interpretation of the Veneto region around Lake Garda, faithful to the local grape varieties and the elegant character of this area of Verona.
