Pasini San Giovanni
Pasini San Giovanni is a Lombardy-based producer with links to the Brescia shore of Lake Garda, whose identity is rooted in both Valtènesi and Lugana. Its understanding of the territory stems from the interplay between two neighbouring yet distinct environments: on the one hand, the morainic hills of Valtènesi, loose and permeable, bathed in the lake’s mild influence; on the other, the Lugana area, where the Turbiana grape finds in the clayey soils and the Lake Garda microclimate conditions favourable to fresh, savoury whites capable of depth. In Valtènesi, the key variety is Groppello, a native grape that produces red and rosé wines with a refined, fragrant and harmonious profile, featuring a supple yet distinctive structure.
The approach to viticulture is focused on organic winegrowing, the protection of biodiversity and careful management of the environmental balance. This sensitivity underpins a production philosophy that prioritises the expression of local grape varieties and fidelity to their places of origin, whilst avoiding stylistic artificiality. The raw material is interpreted with a focus on aromatic precision, freshness and the natural mineral character that the Garda region has to offer.
Overall, Pasini San Giovanni is a distinct voice representing the Garda region of Lombardy: a producer where Lugana and Valtènesi coexist as two complementary styles, united by native grape varieties, environmental awareness and a commitment to producing balanced, vibrant wines that remain true to the landscape from which they originate.
