Renato Ratti
Renato Ratti is a Piedmontese winery based in La Morra, in the heart of the Langhe and the Barolo DOCG region. Its identity stems from its relationship with Nebbiolo and the historic slopes surrounding Annunziata, where the vineyard landscape features a variety of exposures, gradients and soils that yield different interpretations of the same grape variety. In this context, Marcenasco stands as a key reference point: a place linked to the tradition of La Morra’s Barolo and to a winemaking philosophy focused on highlighting the wine’s provenance.
The winery’s approach prioritises a precise understanding of the individual plots and a management of the raw material designed to preserve balance, aromatic finesse and depth. The work with Nebbiolo seeks to combine structure and restraint, highlighting the natural elegance of the La Morra terroirs without compromising the complexity typical of the appellation. The production thus forms part of a modern vision of Barolo that remains consistent with the culture of the Langhe, attentive to the distinctions between the different areas and to the wine’s ability to express its terroir.
Renato Ratti’s wines often display stylistic characteristics based on harmony, well-integrated tannins, expressive depth and gradual development over time. The winery plays a significant role in promoting Barolo as a regional wine, contributing to a vision of the Langhe in which tradition, research and interpretative precision remain central elements.
