Tedeschi
Tedeschi is a historic name in Valpolicella, deeply rooted in the Veronese part of the Veneto region and linked to a precise understanding of the hillside vineyards. The producer’s identity is founded on expressing the terroir through grapes sourced from the appellation’s prime growing areas, with a particular focus on Valpolicella Classica and areas such as Maternigo, in the eastern part of Valpolicella. Hillside cultivation, sunny exposures, marl soils and the diversity of the terroir all contribute to defining wines with a distinctive character, in which structure, freshness and elegance remain central elements.
Agronomic work is focused on understanding the vineyard: zoning and soil analysis underpin targeted decisions regarding the management of the raw material, whilst the commitment to sustainability is confirmed by certifications such as Biodiversity Friend and Equalitas. This commitment to environmental balance is complemented by a production philosophy that celebrates Valpolicella’s traditional grape varieties, including Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella, crafted with careful attention to the grapes’ ripeness and stylistic consistency.
In the winery, Tedeschi favours a winemaking approach that preserves the grapes’ origins, avoiding artificial interventions and seeking depth, clarity and consistent expression. The result is a profile that combines a sense of place with contemporary precision, producing wines firmly rooted in the culture of Valpolicella and its natural aptitude for reds characterised by character, balance and a long, defined finish.
