Tenuta Ca' Sciampagne

Tenuta Ca’ Sciampagne is a wine estate in the Marche region, closely linked to the landscape of Urbino and the Montefeltro area, situated on the outskirts of the town and within the Monti delle Cesane Nature Park. The name refers to the cadastral area where most of the vineyards are located, a fact that emphasises the direct link between the estate and its place of origin. The winery was established in 2008 through the restoration of old vineyards and the planting of new ones, with a project aimed at expressing the terroir through a simple and consistent approach to viticulture.

The vineyards are situated at an altitude of around 400 metres, in a breezy setting characterised by significant daily temperature variations. The calcareous, marly and mineral soils help to produce wines characterised by freshness, vigour and a distinct sense of place. Among the grape varieties grown are local varieties such as Bianchello and Sangiovese dei Colli Pesaresi, alongside other white and red varieties that are an integral part of the estate’s landscape.

The production method is certified organic and prioritises a respectful approach to the raw material: in the vineyard, intervention is kept to a minimum, whilst in the cellar, fermentation is spontaneous, relying on indigenous yeasts. The winemaking process avoids fining and filtration, with an extremely limited use of sulphites only when necessary. The result is an artisanal, direct and recognisable style, in which the rural tradition of Montefeltro translates into wines that are unpretentious, full-bodied and deeply rooted in the Marche landscape.
