Producers/ Tre Monti
Tre Monti
Tre Monti is a producer from Emilia-Romagna with strong ties to the hilly countryside of Romagna, with vineyards spread across the Imola and Forlì areas. Its identity stems from the convergence of two neighbouring yet distinct environments: on the one hand, the hills of Imola, in a cool valley on the administrative border between Emilia and Romagna; on the other, the hills of Forlì facing the Ravenna lowlands, where the influence of the Apennines and the cooler breezes from the Adriatic help to shape the ripening process, aromas and flavour profile.
Tre Monti’s work focuses on the grape varieties and appellations that characterise this part of the region, in particular Sangiovese and Albana, alongside other traditional Romagna grape varieties and a stylistic exploration that, over time, has also included technical and varietal experimentation. Certified organic cultivation and a focus on minimising the use of chemicals form part of a production philosophy centred on the precision of the raw materials and a deep understanding of the vineyard.
In the winery, the approach favours distinctive wines that combine the character of Romagna with expressive purity and depth. The reds interpret Sangiovese with structure, vigour and a sense of territorial continuity, whilst the whites, made from Albana and Trebbiano, highlight savouriness, body and a natural inclination towards complexity. Tre Monti thus represents a strong voice in Romagna’s wine scene, respectful of tradition yet open to constant exploration of the terroir’s expression.
