Umani Ronchi
Umani Ronchi is a Marche-based winery with deep roots in the Adriatic coastal region, its identity shaped by the Verdicchio hills, the Conero and its natural connection with Abruzzo. For over sixty years, it has been crafting wines from some of the most representative grape varieties of these territories, starting with Verdicchio and Montepulciano grown in the Conero area, bringing out their distinct yet complementary characteristics. In the Verdicchio areas, the depth of the soils and the undulating terrain favour white wines characterised by precision, tension and expressive power; on the Conero, the more calcareous soil and proximity to the sea contribute to reds with a balanced, savoury and distinctive profile. The viticultural approach is geared towards organic cultivation and a meticulous assessment of individual vineyards, with a focus on biodiversity, soil vitality and the quality of the raw material. Sustainability is an integral part of the company’s philosophy, understood as a balance between the environment, work in the vineyard and continuity of production. In the winery, technical innovation goes hand in hand with a measured stylistic approach, designed to highlight the relationship between grape variety and terroir rather than forcing the wine’s expression. Umani Ronchi’s wines thus stand out for their clarity, territorial consistency and ability to convey two essential facets of the Marche region: the finesse of Verdicchio and the Mediterranean depth of Conero.
