Valle dell'Acate

Valle dell’Acate is a winery in south-eastern Sicily, linked to the Acate area and the Dirillo river valley, in the province of Ragusa. Its identity stems from an area with a long agricultural tradition, where the Iblean landscape alternates between rolling hills, Mediterranean sunshine and soils capable of bringing out different characteristics in the local grape varieties. The winery is particularly associated with the Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG Classico appellation, the region’s flagship designation, characterised by a blend of Nero d’Avola and Frappato and a balance of intensity, freshness and aromatic finesse.

The winemaking philosophy focuses above all on native Sicilian grape varieties, interpreted through a careful analysis of the soils. Company and consortium sources highlight the presence of red soils, sand and limestone or clay components – elements that help to define wines with a sunny yet light character, featuring bright fruit, a spicy profile and a natural ease of drinking. The entire production is certified organic, an aspect consistent with an approach that places the raw material at the centre and emphasises the link between the vineyard, ripening and territorial identity.
