Vignalta
Vignalta is a Veneto-based producer with deep roots in the Euganean Hills, a hilly area of volcanic origin to the south-west of Padua, where viticulture is characterised by a remarkable variety of soils, exposures and microclimates. The winery’s identity stems from its relationship with this varied landscape, where volcanic outcrops, marl and limestone fragments provide diverse yet complementary conditions for the ripening of the grapes. The selection of vineyards and plots is key: Vignalta views the geological fragmentation of the Euganean Hills as an asset, seeking to bring out the specific character of the different growing areas.
The agronomic approach is based on careful management of the raw material, using integrated pest management practices, low-impact treatments and interventions guided by observation of the actual conditions in the vineyard. This focus is linked to a clear commitment to environmental sustainability and a production philosophy that regards the quality of the grapes as the essential starting point for the wine.
In the winery, a measured winemaking approach prevails, aimed at preserving aromatic integrity, balance and a clear expression of the terroir. Vignalta wines thus reflect the dual character of the Euganean Hills: on the one hand, the mineral and structural qualities of the volcanic and limestone soils; on the other, the aromatic finesse fostered by the mild climate and significant daily temperature variations. The result is a recognisable, precise and terroir-driven style, capable of showcasing both the grape varieties historically rooted in the area and those expressions most closely linked to the Euganean terroir.
