El Zeremia
El Zeremia is a Trentino winery based in Revò, in the municipality of Novella, in the Val di Non. In a region now known primarily for fruit growing, the producer preserves a unique winemaking heritage, centred on the revival and promotion of Groppello di Revò, an ancient local indigenous grape variety considered one of the valley’s most distinctive expressions. Its alpine location, overlooking the Val di Non landscape and Lake Santa Giustina, helps to define a fresh, vertical and distinctive terroir profile.
The production philosophy is based on the preservation of historic varieties and a careful agricultural interpretation of the local plant heritage. Alongside Groppello di Revò, the range also includes Maor, linked to the local viticultural tradition, and Johanniter, a hardy variety prized for its ability to reduce the need for plant protection treatments. This approach brings together the protection of biodiversity, agricultural continuity and a contemporary focus on a more minimalist approach to viticulture.
In the winery, the approach aims to preserve the character of the raw material, alternating between styles that emphasise the crispness of stainless steel and ageing methods that impart depth and structure. El Zeremia’s wines are distinguished by their Alpine and terroir-driven character: reds with a bold, tannic and savoury profile, and whites with a crisp freshness, all reflecting the winemaking heritage of Revò. The result is a producer who gives voice to a rare and precious facet of Trentino’s wine-growing heritage.
