I Cacciagalli
I Cacciagalli is a Campania-based producer with links to the Alto Casertano region, set in a rural landscape dominated by the extinct volcano of Roccamonfina. This setting gives the wines a distinct territorial identity: volcanic soils, a hilly landscape and agricultural biodiversity that supports a broad and vibrant interpretation of the terroir. Viticulture forms part of a wider ecosystem, where caring for the land and respecting natural rhythms are an integral part of the production philosophy.
The approach to viticulture is based on organic and biodynamic practices, focused on soil vitality and the promotion of Campania’s native grape varieties. Fiano, Falanghina, Aglianico, Piedirosso and Pallagrello Nero are treated as a means of expressing the character of the terroir, with the raw materials managed in a way that preserves the varietal character, energy and territorial authenticity.
In the winery, a minimalist and non-interventionist approach prevails: spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, limited use of sulphur dioxide, and no fining or filtration. The use of amphorae represents a distinctive stylistic choice, capable of accompanying the wine’s evolution without overpowering its character, promoting balance, depth and a direct connection to its volcanic origins. The result is an expressive and consistent style, in which freshness, texture and intensity combine with a contemporary winemaking sensibility that is deeply rooted in inland Campania.
