Lis Neris

Lis Neris is a Friulian wine producer based in the Isonzo Valley, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, where viticulture flourishes between the Slovenian border and the right bank of the Isonzo. Its identity stems from a long-standing relationship with this landscape, cultivated over several generations and expressed through wines in which the character of the terroir remains central. The area combines Mediterranean influences with the harsh climate of the north-east: the significant temperature fluctuations in summer promote aromatic concentration, balanced acidity and a ripening process capable of producing white wines with structure, precision and finesse.

The vineyards are situated within the Friuli Isonzo DOC region, on soils characterised by gravel and limestone components which contribute to drainage, light exposure and heat retention. In this environment, both Friulian and international grape varieties thrive, with a particular focus on white grape varieties and their ability to reflect the soil, microclimate and vintage. The viticultural approach prioritises an understanding of the raw material, respect for natural rhythms and practices focused on vineyard care; the estate’s technical data sheets also specify the use of organic fertilisers, integrated pest management and the absence of chemical weed control in the vineyard.

Lis Neris’s style is characterised by a quest for depth without losing momentum: complex, savoury and aromatically defined wines, in which richness of flavour coexists with a fresh and balanced profile. The result is a contemporary interpretation of the Friulian Isonzo, true to the terroir and its natural aptitude for complex and elegant white wines.
