Suavia
Suavia is a Veneto-based producer based in Fittà di Soave, in the heart of the ‘Classica’ zone of the Soave appellation. Its identity stems from a hilly landscape of volcanic origin, where altitude, favourable exposures, significant daily temperature variations and deep basalt soils all contribute to defining white wines with a distinct territorial character. The soil, rich in minerals and formed by ancient volcanic activity, is considered a central element of the estate’s character: not merely a medium for the vines, but a matrix capable of influencing the wines’ savouriness, structure and distinctiveness.
Work in the vineyard focuses on the historic Soave grape varieties – Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave – which are regarded as an agricultural and cultural heritage to be preserved. Agronomic management follows an approach that is mindful of the landscape and soil vitality, with organic certification obtained in 2019. In the winery, a non-invasive winemaking process prevails, aimed at respecting the raw material and enhancing the natural energy of the indigenous white grapes.
Suavia’s style highlights freshness, salinity and aromatic clarity, offering an interpretation of Soave Classico that combines floral finesse, citrus notes and an often pronounced mineral component. In the volcanic vineyards, particularly in the wines from Carbonare and other hillside sites, the Garganega takes on a vertical and profound profile, whilst the Trebbiano di Soave reflects a journey of varietal revival and territorial exploration that is consistent with the area’s most authentic character.
