Vittorio Graziano
Vittorio Graziano is a winemaker from Emilia with ties to Castelvetro di Modena, in the heart of the hilly Lambrusco Grasparossa region. His identity stems from a deeply agricultural understanding of the territory: vineyards rooted in clay soils, with sandy and gravelly components, and a local ampelographic heritage in which Lambrusco coexists with traditional varieties such as Malbo Gentile and Trebbiano, as well as selections preserved over time. The approach in the vineyard follows an uncertified organic philosophy and prioritises mass selection, hand-harvesting and the management of the raw material with a focus on the vitality of the fruit. In the cellar, the most distinctive feature is bottle fermentation, carried out according to a traditional Emilian practice: the wine is bottled whilst it still retains natural sugars, so that fermentation resumes as temperatures rise, without the need for added sugars or yeasts. The result is dry, sparkling wines that are deeply rooted in their terroir, with a natural effervescence and a profile that combines energy, acidity and substance. Within the context of Grasparossa di Castelvetro – a style known for its body, intense colour and subtle tannic character – Vittorio Graziano produces a dry and straightforward version of Lambrusco, capable of retaining freshness, substance and an elegant rustic quality. It is a production that celebrates the rural heritage of the Modena hills and restores an authentic, agricultural and consistent character to the sparkling wine of Emilia.
