Dettori
Dettori is a Sardinian wine producer based in Badde Nigolosu, in the hills of Romangia, within the municipality of Sennori. Its identity stems from a very close connection with this natural amphitheatre overlooking north-western Sardinia, where viticulture retains an ancient heritage and a landscape characterised by complex soils, a Mediterranean climate and a strong presence of non-irrigated alberello-trained vines. Romangia is not merely a geographical reference: it is the cultural and agronomic foundation from which the wines derive their character, depth and distinctiveness.
The approach in the vineyard prioritises continuity with traditional agricultural practices, underpinned by certified organic cultivation and a biodynamic and regenerative ethos. The raw material is seen as a direct expression of the terroir, with a focus on historic Sardinian grape varieties and their ability to convey the essence of Badde Nigolosu without unnecessary intervention.
In the winery, the approach remains consistent with this minimalist vision. Fermentation takes place in traditional concrete tanks, without the use of starter cultures, and the process from grape to wine minimises intervention: no oenological additives are used, there is no filtration, clarification is achieved through natural decanting, and ageing takes place in concrete tanks. The result is wines with a deeply terroir-driven profile – intense and non-standardised – capable of conveying the Mediterranean vigour of Romangia, the noble rusticity of the alberello training system, and an authentic expression of Sardinian viticulture.
