Vigneto Saetti
Vigneto Saetti is a winery in Emilia-Romagna with strong ties to the Santa Croce area of Modena, the historic home of Lambrusco Salamino. Its identity stems from a vineyard planted in the 1960s and a production philosophy focused on bringing out the true character of this grape, cultivated in harmony with the natural balance of the soil. The vineyard is managed according to organic principles, with a focus on the vineyard’s vitality and the manual selection of the healthiest and ripest bunches during the harvest. In the cellar, the approach remains simple and artisanal: the wines are produced without the addition of sulphur dioxide and, for the refermented versions, the second fermentation takes place slowly in the bottle. Manual disgorging removes sediment whilst maintaining a clean profile, whilst topping up with wine from the same vintage preserves consistency and expressive integrity. The terroir of the Lambrusco Salamino di Santa Croce appellation, in the Modena plain formed by river deposits containing sandy, calcareous and clayey components, contributes to wines with a fruity, fresh and savoury character. Vigneto Saetti interprets this heritage with a distinctive style, centred on the purity of the fruit, the vitality of the secondary fermentation and an authentic interpretation of Lambrusco as a terroir-driven, dynamic and quintessentially Emilian wine.
