Possa
Vin dei Vecci di Possa is a macerated white wine produced with passion by Heydi Bonanini, a dedicated winemaker from the Cinque Terre region of eastern Liguria. Her vineyards, perched high above the sea in Riomaggiore, span 3.5 hectares and are cultivated sustainably with native grape varieties. The grapes, hand-harvested from vines at least 50 years old, are transported to the winery via a monorail. Fermentation occurs spontaneously in terracotta amphorae using indigenous yeasts and minimal sulfites. After resting on the skins of the Sciacchetrà grapes, the wine ages in amphorae and undergoes neither clarification nor filtration. The result is a full-bodied, smooth wine with a complex aromatic profile featuring notes of Mediterranean scrub, citrus, and broom. On the palate, it is structured and warm, with savory and mineral undertones. It pairs well with desserts or fish dishes, such as the Ligurian Buridda.Read more
